I greatly regret sleeping on Rise of the TMNT. I missed out on being a part of an amazingly funny and creative show as it was being released. I didn't really watch it until the movie came out on Netflix. I liked it so much that I went back to watch the series.
This show is lit, y'all. It is so funny, the characters are so great and the animation is just *chef kiss* And while it was unfortunately done dirty by Nickelodeon cutting the second season short, Netflix *might* pick it up if there seems to be enough interest.
If you have not seen this series before and you have Netflix, I greatly recommend it. Especially if you're a TMNT fan. If you are a fan and you have been sleeping on this show because it's not your favorite favorite version of TMNT (I'm looking at you 2012 fans), you are doing yourself a great disservice.
This show can do no harm to your favorite version of the turtles. In fact, Rise pays homage to the 2012 version in many ways in several different episodes. This series did a lot of things differently, but you can tell there is a lot of love for the characters in the writing. It is a fantastically fun and hilarious ride, and you are missing out of you are a turtles fan and you don't give this a shot.
If you've ever considered checking the show out, now is the time to do it. Netflix is watching to see if it trends and if people will watch the movie and the series. If it is popular enough, it might just get another season. And this show needs another season. The world needs to be blessed with another season. Let's make it happen! *goes to watch the show again*
I haven't been as active here on DA since their big update a while back. I have been trying out a few new social media sites where I will be focusing more on my best works and original projects. (Or, at least that is the plan.) Here are all the different places you can find me:
Hey guys, if anyone's submitted entries for the group since we moved to Eclipse, the reason they have not been approved is because I cannot heckin figure out WHERE I go to approve them now.
Ugh, Eclipse is so terrible.
Anyone know?
